This new system offers advantages such as smarter traffic signals connected to a central controller, facilitating real- time adjustments to signal timing and emergency vehicle preemption. The project also includes state- of-the-art signal hardware, camera traffic detection, ADA accessible pedestrian ramps, and a dynamic message sign displaying travel time information.
