RIVERSEDGE is underway this summer with an impressive variety of shows sure to attract music lovers of all genres.
Logan Walden, Creative Developer/Marketing & Programs Director, and Resident Services Specialist calls RiversEdge a cultural hub in Hamilton. ”RiversEdge provides a premium concert experience with quality musical performances on a consistent basis,” he said. “This is RiversEdge's 16th year of creating a cultural hub in Hamilton, Ohio. For zero pay entry fee, people can gather with their friends and family outside for a great night of entertainment, fellowship, and supporting local businesses, vendors, restaurants, and bars.”
RiversEdge concerts typically draw in between 500 and 3,000 or more attendees each week, which is an incredible asset to the community. “This consistent draw every week over the summer helps create a sense of hometown pride in Hamilton, as well as creates foot traffic for local businesses from attendees who are visiting Hamilton from out of town and often for the first time,” he said.
The music lineup at RiversEdge in July is stacked, according to Walden, starting with the annual July 4th Event. Mr. Speed: Tribute to Kiss will be headlining, with an opening act by popular Hamilton based band, The Kokkoto Comeback. This is one of the largest attended free concerts of the summer. “Attendees can expect a great night filled with southern and hard classic rock that they can dance and sing along to, as well as explore the vendors, food trucks, and a fireworks show at the end of the night,” he said.
July will include two more free shows with original music and the largest and only paid entrance festival hosted by RiversEdge, David Shaw's Big River Get Down.
As live shows have become increasingly expensive to produce and to attend, the sponsors, volunteers, and community support have continued to make RiversEdge a success. “We couldn't do what we do without the support of our community and the volunteers who show up every week to help distribute tickets, manage beer sales, greet attendees, and much more,” Walden said. “This truly is a home-town pride project and it's a total vibe when you are there.”

The following are highlights from RiversEdge’s July concert schedule, featuring a mix of nationally recognized artists, regional favorites, and one of the summer’s biggest music festivals.

July 9th | Lamont Landers | 8:30 PM
Lamont Landers blends classic soul music with elements of Southern rock, blues, and Americana, creating a sound that feels both timeless and modern. Driven by his powerful, soulful voice and emotionally honest songwriting, his live performances bring the energy and spirit of the American South to the stage.
Ernie Johnson From Detroit | 7 PM

Ernie Johnson From Detroit is a Cincinnati based band that blends afrobeat, funk, and jazz with 70s psychedelia and hard rock to create a hypnotic, danceable sound that is both accessible and boundary pushing. Their stage show is a high-energy, infectious dance party that centers on intense, spontaneous improvisation combined with tight, sophisticated compositions that live inside the groove. The band’s horn-heavy arrangements and relentless rhythm section allow for a variety of styles and a layering of dynamics in their improvised jams that make people want to move.

July 17th | Eddie 9V | 8:30 PM
Currently touring with The Black Keys, Eddie 9V primarily plays blues, Southern soul, and retro-rock. His signature sound is a mix of golden-era American roots music, combining gritty electric blues with upbeat soul, funk, and alt-folk influences. Powered by raw guitar, strong vocals, and a deep groove, their music feels both timeless and fresh-roots music with plenty of heart and swagger.

Johnny Mullenax | 7 PM
Claiming wide-ranging influences from AC/DC and The Ramones to John Coltrane and Parliament, Johnny’s style is reminiscent of Billy Strings—a sound he calls a funky country bluegrass good time for working folks. Johnny Mullenax made his debut RiversEdge performance in 2025 as an opening act for Scotty Bratcher and blew the crowd out of the water. We had to bring him back and consider ourselves lucky to have him on our stage a second time.
July 23 - 25 | David Shaw's Big River Get Down

In 2025, we expanded the festival throughout downtown Hamilton and Main St. transforming it into an urban festival experience by providing free performances at multiple venues. Deeply rooted blend of Southern rock, swamp funk, soul, and blues. Often described as "swamp rock" or "front porch soul," their music features a distinctive, gritty, and blues-driven sound heavily inspired by the humid backwoods of Jacksonville, Florida.

American indie rock and folk rock band. Fronted by singer-songwriter Ben Bridwell, their sound is known for a blend of soaring, emotional vocals, swirling atmospheric guitars, and a rootsy, country influenced twang. Saturday, July 25 | Fruition | 7:30 PM
Fruition is a Portland, Oregon-based string band that blends Americana, roots rock, folk, and bluegrass. Known for their signature three-part vocal harmonies and acoustic-electric crossover sound, their music bridges the gap between traditional mountain strings and modern rock.

Saturday, July 25 | The Revivalists | 9 PM
