Badin’s final Ramformation Night for the fall – an information night for prospective students currently in the 8th and 7th grades -- is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 24, at 7 p.m. in the high school’s Little Theater. Applications for the Class of 2030 are due by Monday, Dec. 1.
Details are available on the Badin website at BadinHS.org. For more information, email info@BadinHS.org, or call Mrs. Natalie Carley Agnew, Badin’s Director of Admissions, at (513) 869-4498.
Badin senior Braelyn Even spent the last 10 days of October in Portugal playing soccer with the United States national women’s U-19 team. The squad was due to play Portugal and Ireland and puts Even on the roster for ongoing opportunities to represent U.S. national teams in international competition. Braelyn is the daughter of Rob and Christy Even of Fairfield and a graduate of Sacred Heart School. She helped lead the Badin girls soccer team to the No. 1 seed in the Division III Southwest Regional tournament and to its 5th consecutive GCL Coed Division championship. She has committed to play D-1 women’s college soccer at the University of Cincinnati.
Senior Matthew Lees led the way as 16 Badin students scored 30 or better on the national ACT college entrance exam. The top score is 36 – 30 or better puts a student in the top 5 percent of all ACT test-takers nationally. Lees scored a 35, which places him in the top 1 percent. Others with 30 or better included Jack Blanton, Cole Brandabur, Lexi Brecht, Brian Estrellado, Olivia Klefeker, John Loeffler, Ellie Middleswarth, Riley Miller, Nathan Rasp, Kathleen Stratman, Jackson Teed, Henry Tenkotte, Elyse Weinheimer, Connor Wood and Vivian Zettler.
That testing success went hand-in-glove with the strong performance of Badin students on Advanced Placement testing in May of 2025. A total of 52 students earned AP recognition during the spring testing cycle. That was 10 more than the 42 students from 2024 and more than double the number of 24 students who earned AP recognition in 2023. A total of 179 Badin students took 314 AP exams in May.
From the Class of 2025, 30 students earned various AP Scholar designations, including 15 who had been recognized as juniors. From the Class of 2026, 22 students were AP Scholars. Of those 22, 14 have also scored 30 or better on the ACT.
“AP Scholars have to take a number of Advanced Placement courses, so the bar is set high to begin with,” Badin Principal Patrick Keating ’07 noted. “These students are willing to take these challenging courses, and they do a nice job clearing the testing hurdles.”
Senior Pete Pendergest was the king and classmate Izzy Stokes the queen for Badin’s annual Homecoming celebration. Badin defeated Fenwick, 41-13, at the Matandy SportsPlex in what was the first-ever “on-campus” Homecoming football game at Badin. Other members of the court, all seniors, included queen candidates Maddie Berry, Gracie Ernst, Braelyn Even and Olivia Klefeker. King candidates were Declan Brown, Max Snellgrove, Chandler Taylor and Eli Wolpert.
